How to read like
a writer:
In this reading
Bunn talked about how to read a piece of writing as if you were writing it. He
gives you many examples of what he does that help him write. His writing in
this piece was very casual to me it gave a very conversational vibe, he really
knew how to talk to his audience. This
kind of conversational relaxed writing I enjoy, because I don’t have to work
twice as hard to understand the information they are trying to tell me. In his work he gives examples of what he does,
for example he says when he reads he asks himself millions of question, asking
himself, as a writer if he would write this paper similar or what he would
change. In his piece of writing he opens with a story which helps start off the
essay and show imagery and is a touch of how his writing is going to be through
the whole essay. I enjoyed reading not only because it was an easy read but
because he made it sound like anyone can do what he does. For example anyone
can re-read over their writing or ask a teacher/ friend for their feedback. The
advice he gives in this piece is practical and can work for most of his audience
who is reading it.
